Description
Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar has released Employment Notice No. 04 of 2026 inviting online applications from eligible candidates domiciled in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir for tenure positions of Senior Residents and Demonstrators across multiple medical and super-specialty disciplines.
The appointments will initially be made for one year, extendable up to three years based on performance and certification from the respective Heads of Departments (HODs). The recruitment will follow the Medical Institutions Regulations 2025 and relevant government orders such as S.O. 364 of 2020.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for these posts must meet the eligibility criteria prescribed under Medical Institutions Regulations 2025.
General eligibility requirements include:
- MD/MS/DNB in the concerned discipline from an institution recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
- For super-specialty disciplines, candidates must possess DM/M.Ch./DrNB/DNB in the relevant field.
- Non-medical candidates applying for Pediatric Biochemistry must possess M.Sc. and PhD in Medical Biochemistry.
- Candidates who have appeared in the final examination of postgraduate or postdoctoral courses may also apply.
