The Office of the District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ganderbal, Government of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, has released Advertisement Notification No. ADDC/02 of 2026 inviting applications from eligible candidates for the engagement of Krishi Udyami (KU) / Agricultural Entrepreneur under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP).
This recruitment drive aims to appoint qualified candidates on a contractual basis to operate Panchayat Level Kisan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs) across District Ganderbal. The engagement offers agriculture and allied science professionals an opportunity to contribute to agricultural extension services while establishing themselves as self-employed agricultural entrepreneurs.

About the Recruitment

Educational Qualification
Applicants should possess any one of the following qualifications from a Government-recognized institution:
Diploma in Agriculture & Allied Fields
Eligible diploma disciplines include:
- Agriculture
- Horticulture
- Veterinary Sciences
- Forestry
- Fisheries
- Sericulture
- Agriculture Engineering
- BHT
- BAT
Graduation
Candidates holding any of the following qualifications are eligible:
- B.Sc. Agriculture
- B.Sc. Horticulture
- B.Sc. Forestry
- B.Sc. Fisheries
- B.Sc. Sericulture
- B.Tech Agriculture Engineering
- BVSc & AH
- Other eligible Agriculture & Allied Science qualifications
Additional Preference
Preference will be given to candidates possessing:
- Postgraduate qualifications in Agriculture, Science, or Allied Fields
- Computer Diploma or Certification Course (minimum three months) from a Government-recognized institution
Age Limit
Applicants must be between:
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 45 Years
The age shall be calculated as on the last date for submission of applications.
Contract Period
The engagement will initially be for:
- 2 Years (Contract Basis)
The contract may be extended annually based on satisfactory performance.
Nature of Engagement
This engagement is not a salaried government job. It is a self-earning entrepreneurial engagement where selected candidates will operate Kisan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs) under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme in accordance with the prescribed operational guidelines.
Roles and Responsibilities
Selected Krishi Udyamis will be responsible for:
- Operating Panchayat Level Kisan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs)
- Providing agricultural extension services
- Assisting farmers with modern agricultural practices
- Promoting government agricultural initiatives
- Supporting implementation of HADP activities
- Coordinating with agriculture departments and local stakeholders
- Maintaining operational records as required under the programme
